What is Small Business Server?
Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) is a group of tools made by Microsoft to help empower Small Businesses.  It does this by bundling the best of corporate software (Windows Server, Exchange Server, Sharepoint Server, and more) into a single, stand-alone software package. 

Instead of needing multiple servers to handle the specialized tasks, SBS 2003 makes it easy for Small Businesses by allowing these services to run on a single machine.  This is a huge advantage for Small Business owners, as it allows them to grow with technology, instead of being crippled by the costs of deployment of full-version products.

SBS 2003 is not a slimmed down version of these services (Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003), but rather a foundation for which you can grow.  Adding licenses as your company grows allows you to reach the maximum licensing of 75 users.  We have found that most companies that grow beyond the 75 user limit need to specialize, ready to benefit from something more robust than what SBS 2003 can offer.
