Financial Services Firm - Cardiff by the Sea, CA

ZoNE-X was contracted with a Financial Services Firm in Cardiff by the Sea, CA to provide on-site and remote support for their IT infrastructure.  The company was looking to merge 3 branch offices and continue to support the owner as a remote user during 90% of normal working hours.

Server Maintenance

ZoNE-X had to ensure the network and the company's server were working 100% of the time.  We implemented a remote monitoring tool which alerted ZoNE-X staff anytime their was a disruption in service.  This allowed us to proactively maintain the server prior to any user's realizing there was a problem.  ZoNE-X was able to receive the alert, rectify the problem, and report it to the client before they even knew there was a problem.

Customer Relations Management (CRM)

The client was using an existing GoldMine database to support their client list of about 2,000 client accounts.  GoldMine was synchronized remotely via a secure SSL connection between the remote offices and the main office.  This synchronization allowed the office to be nearly 100% paperless, increasing client communication and support service, as well as lowering physical filing and storage requirements.  Using GoldMine also allowed the company to keep its staff updated on all correspondence (e-mail, telephone, fax, postal mail) with each client.  Tracking down to the minute what was going on between the firm and their client base.

Anti-Virus

ZoNE-X installed and maintains a company-wide network anti-virus solution.  We are remotely alerted any time the system picks up a virus and has to take an action.  This allows us to monitor any threats that may be affecting our client's business productivity.

We also installed anti-virus software on each desktop.  Anti-spyware tools were also installed, rounding out the security against currently known threats that could have affected their entire network.

Firewall & Security

ZoNE-X implemented a basic NAT-based firewall device to filter out the Internet-based attacks which have become so prevalent in today's technology spectrum.  We were able to add port filtering to the device in order to allow the staff to synchronize the GoldMine database, while keeping out other service vulnerabilities and not exposing the server 100% to the black hats of the world.
